Class 4: How we make decisions

Decision making processes and records of decisions:

The CCG's Governing Board oversees most of the major decisions as its main role is to set the strategic direction of Luton CCG and manage performance.  Board meetings are held in public - click here for dates and papers of Board meetings.

Patient and public involvement strategy (PPI)

Patient and public involvement (PPI) - is the term we use to describe the ways we give local people a say in how their local NHS services are planned, delivered and evaluated. It's about LCCG talking with service users and the wider public, listening to what they say and changing the ways we do things as a result of what we hear. Click here to read more.

Public consultations

Consultation in this context describes a process by which LCCG seeks and encourages service users and the wider public to comment on the LCCG's plans and on the ways local NHS services are developed and delivered.

This helps to ensure that our services are in line with what the public needs and wants, that we are accountable to the communities we serve, and that we are accountable to the communities we serve, and that we meet our statutory responsibilities to involve local people.

Throughout the year various consultations on local and national health issues are open for the members of the public to comment.
